What I've learned

We spend a lot of our lives trying to convince God that we are ready while God is saying “Not yet, you need more time to grow, be patient.” Then when the time finally comes around and God tells us “You are ready” we do everything we can to say “I’m not ready.” We have to practice patience in the times that God wants us to wait, and then when God calls us we have to jump on the chance he’s given us, even if it’s not necessarily what we think we want. This world isn’t about what we want but it’s about what can we do to show this world God. We all need to learn more from Eli “Speak Lord, for your servant is listening” (1 Samuel 3:9)
