"Shadows of Light" meaning
Why the name "Shadows of Light?" Well to put it simply, you can't have light without a shadow being cast somewhere. Sometimes the shadow is right under us and hard to see and sometimes it's right next to us and many times our size.
It's the same with our lives. No matter what is going on in your life there is a battle of good and evil. A struggle in your mind. Just like those shadows sometimes they are small and barely noticable and sometimes they are gigantic.
Now when I think of a shadow of light I kind of think of a backwards shadow. The image I think of is you have a completely dark room with no light source. Then there is a crack in the door or wall and a beam of light can enter. So now you have a dark room with a path of light streaming in from the outside.
That single beam is bringing light to a dark place, it's removing the darkness so we can see. I've been in a pretty dark place for a while now. I felt completely closed off, forgotten and in total darkness until I turned and a beam of light has been slicing through the darkness into my life. I just couldn't see it. It's still small and not bright but it's there. It's my light shadow, it's my hope, and it's my comfort. That light is my faith which has never left me even when I thought it did, my family who supported me, and my friends who have never left my side.
As long as I keep my focus on that beam of light I'll survive. No matter how dark the room gets around me I'll keep on that and I'll survive. It's my shadow of light.
