Dialog of the Sun
Hello my child, did you sleep well? What's wrong your eyes looks sad? Ahh I see, I'm sorry you've had a rough night.
May I say something? I've been circling this earth a long time. I have seen the rise of civilizations and the fall of empires, I have seen the curiosity of mankind done both wounderous things as well as terrible atrocities against their own brothers. But I have never seen anything that had a greater effect than "love."
I have seen things that you can't even imagine but nothing like the bond of love that is formed between the hearts of two people. I have inspired much love in this world. I see couples every morning, waking up to each other. I see them walking together hand in hand for a lunch break. And I see them as the say goodnight to each other. I see them watching me as I slip below the horizon.
Love is an amazing thing, I see it everyday in so many different ways. Some think when I dip below the horizon it means it's the end. It's the end of the warm light and the beginning of the dark night. I know you think love is like that. Love is not in my light or my warmth, love is not in my rising or my setting. Love is in you. Love is in your heart and your actions, I do not bring love, nor do I create love. I simply share the love you already have.
So as I begin to slip below the edge of the earth and the sky fades to red, blue and then to black this does not mean your love fades to black. There is love in my friend the moon as well. Rest easy my child. I know it doesn't feel like it but this isn't the end you are still able to love. I know this because I also love you. You are my friend. Sleep peaceful, I will be here for you in the morning.
